Fashion Flashback: Heritage 1981 A/W 2011

I found some cool pictures of Heritage 1981 A/W 2011 ads, which I really, really love because it's my style! It might be last year, but I think these outfits are still chic and wearable this year too. Take a look  and get some inspiration for yourself! :)

My holiday shopping list :D

Happy holidays! I have so many plans for my winter break and they get me excited!! One of the things I will totally do it is go shopping. But this time, it might be slightly different from every time I get to shop because my dad said "I'm giving you a limited budget this time, young lady!" which means I can't spend on whatever I see and like it anymore. So I opened my closet and took a look to see what I need for this holiday season and winter. I found that I need some warm stuff, like coat and sweater and hat. I also need some more casual, feminine blouses and skirts and jewels to complete my looks. And there are some things I should keep in mind that I have to stop buying them: teeshirts and shorts!

Hello, Holiday Styles! :D

OMG, it feels like I haven't blogged like, forever! I was very busy with school stuff, especially with chemistry, ugh!!!! Anyway, I'm so glad that I'm able to write the blog to day. :)
So this is December, one of my favorite months! December is winter time, full with awesome holidays to celebrate but also great time for curl up near the fireplace with a good book and hot cocoa, and of course, it's the time for amazing winter/holiday styles!
So I'm starting to think about winter/holiday styles, and I found out that there are a lot more to it. Here's the list that show us what we could bring it up for winter:
1. Dark + neutral colors
2. Pastel colors, inspired by snow and the sky
3. Festive patterns
4. Pop colors like red, green, etc.
5. Sparkly stuff!!!
In the next posts, we will dig down to more details about each article I listed here. :)

Fall for RED

Red is a good color. It makes you feel energetic and excited. In this season, I've got a lot of dark color clothes and I just kinda feel like red is THE color that should be put in my outfit to make it complete. I went through hm.com and some other websites to find the perfect red accessories to add in my closet. Red lips and red polish are also included.

♫ There's a wild, wild whisper blowing in the wind... ♫

This Thanksgiving, I've listened to 'American Honey' by Lady Antebellum and fallen in love with the song. The music and the video reminded me about the beautiful countryside with cornfield and stuff where it seems like there's no worries. I just wished I was there! The song (and Thanksgiving day itself) also has reminded me about stuff that I should be thankful for in my life... and also cowboy/country-ish fashion (with some Native American accessories like feathers and dreamcatcher!), soft brown leather, plaids, floral prints, denim, lace, and all those great stuff that could still be wearable in this late-fall season.  This is just something I came up with today:

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful for the special people and pet in my life, my fantastic family, my awesome host family, all of my friends, and my adorable labradors. I love them so much! I'm thankful for what I've been able to do and accomplish. I'm thankful for the chance to come to America, being able to speak English. Lol I'm thankful for the nature, trees and flowers, beaches and oceans, the sky, the sun, the moon, the star. I'm thankful for art, fashion, literature and music (well, science too) in this world. ♥ I'm thankful for great memories I've had in my life. I'm thankful for my amazing life, my good health, living in this beautiful world and me being myself. Hopefully, I didn't forget something here... Happy Thanksgiving! :D

Flowers in Autumn??

Who still wears flowers and pretty colors in fall? I do! I found this picture  in Teen Vogue’s Twitter and suddenly fell in love with this super cute ASOS’s blouse! If I’m not going to the store to get one, I will make one by myself! :D

Welcome to Ocean of Styles! Ready to dive in? :)

This is the perfect day for me to start one of my dreams, which is writing a blog! I’m home alone today because I’ve got a cold, which sucks a lot, but I’m still good. So I’ve decided to use this time to start a blog… or try to figure out what to write in the blog…  or try to think of the name for the blog.

“This is so hard!” I complained to myself. Then, the shopping bags and my fashion sketches on my desk, and my crazy closet caught my eyes. “Hey, why don’t I write about fashion and shopping and styling or stuff like that?” That was a happy moment until I realized I didn’t have a name for my blog yet.
I looked around my room, flipped my diary, hoped to find the inspiration like a few minutes ago. I found that I have so many things relate to the beach and ocean including pictures, seashells, even my powder and lotion and shower gel is about it! I also wrote so many things about traveling to beaches and islands in my diary.
“Ocean of Styles”
That just popped up from nowhere in my head. But it’s perfect! And I love it! It’s like two things I love combined. Then, I went online to see which blog host will be the best for me and has the cutest template I’d love. And so I found it!
Later, I realized that the word ocean can also be meaningful. It’s like something deep and wide and need to explore to see more of it, exactly so is fashion! Therefore, the name ‘Ocean of Styles’ is perfect. It can describe things in my blog in generally.
So this blog is about new stuff I discover here in this new country (I just moved to the US about a few months ago), mainly about fashion and styles, but I’d probably put some personal story here too (so please don’t mind if I do!). Hopefully, this blog will be in, at least, a little spot in your heart. And thank you so much for reading my blog. Please know that it means you’re supporting my dream. ^^
Alrighty! I’m feeling like I need to take a nap. See you soon!
